Rescue Diver

The PADI Rescue Diver course is the game changing moment when a diver becomes more than a regular dive buddy. Rescue Diver students are taught advanced self-rescue skills and are challenged to handle stressful situations underwater. As a Rescue Diver you are taught how to work as a team to accomplish underwater searches, underwater rescues, and surface rescues. The buildup of the Rescue Diver course are two scenarios that challenge the Rescue Divers to use all their skills and act as a team to accomplish diver rescues. Throughout the course, you will learn to prevent and manage problems in the water and become more confident in your skills as a diver. The PADI Rescue Diver course is one of the most challenging yet rewarding courses you will ever take.

PADI (Junior) Adventure Divers who are at least 12 years old and have completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive may enroll in a Rescue Diver course. You also need to have: Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months.
